What to expect

During your first visit to our office, we will provide you new patient forms to fill out. The forms are designed to collect all the information that we need to provide safe and efficient dental care to you and your family. You may download these forms prior to arrival and fill out ahead of time or arrive 10 minutes early to your first appointment and fill them out at our office.

During your first visit, we will perform a thorough new patient exam. This comprehensive exam will involve the following:

• Extra-oral exam (also known as head and neck exam)
• Intra-oral exam (including oral cancer screening)
• Dental exam (examining each tooth one by one)
• Periodontal exam (examining the health of gums and bone supporting the teeth)
• Assessment of occlusion (examining how you bite with your teeth)

With our thorough assessment we will discuss the diagnosis and potential problems and provide you with all the different treatment options. We will provide all the information to help you make an informed decision about any dental treatment.

Our new patient exam is scheduled for a full hour. This means that we have plenty of time to listen to your concerns and answer any questions. Please feel free to ask us about any concerns or questions that you may have about your oral health. We are the experts to answer oral health questions!
