The Veneer Procedure
The veneer procedure differs according to which material is being used. Porcelain and ceramic veneers typically require two sessions to apply, while composite resin veneers can be applied in a single session.
After numbing the area with a local anesthetic, we apply the resin in thin layers, hardening each one with a special lamp. Once the final layer is set, we shape and polish your veneer to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, giving you a flawless, beautiful smile.
During your first appointment, our dentist will administer a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort and help you remain comfortable during your procedure.
After numbing your tooth, we’ll remove a thin enamel layer and take a mold to create your custom, seamless veneer.
After taking these impressions, we may fit you with a set of temporary veneers to protect the surface of your teeth while your permanent veneers are being made.
During your second appointment, we’ll replace your temporary veneers with permanent ones using safe composite resin cement. We’ll ensure the fit is perfect and make any final adjustments for your beautiful smile.
